Joining with a trade

Hey, i just need a bit of advice

Ive just completed an apprenticeship in Fabrcation (plating), NVQ Level 3 , and i want to take this into the army, i just wanted to know if i could do this or i would i have to re train, im 23 years old aswell and also was worried this would be too old? i plan to talk to a careers advisor this week but would like any advice from someone who might have been in the same situation and give me any kinds of heads up.
