RMO

Post by Conabor »

Dear forums,

I'm a 17 year old student studying my first year of A levels in Mathematics, Economics, Physics and Chemistry. Althought I'm good at academics, I more enjoy physical and mental challenges. This is why i've looked into joining the Royal Marines, in particular becoming a Royal Marines Commissioned Officier.

I've attended the ATC (air training corps, but it's a bunch of unfit guys n gals who wanted to socialise more than join the military) and became a Sergeant, so I have a some knowledge of parade/drill, structure, marksmenship, leadership and basic navigation.

I've looked at and read nearly everything on the RM website on becoming a commando and commando officier and my question is that how hard is it to become a RMC and an RMCO? Also I'd like to know the level of fitness required and what I can do to help aid me in being accepted.(clubs, training etc.)

Thanks.
