Extending Basic training

Hey all,

Just been at the AFCO and the guys there mentioned that they MIGHT be extending basic training by 2 weeks (34 weeks in total) :o and they are going to put more emphasis on fighting in built up areas due to the situaiton in afghanistan? Not sure if anyone else has heard this or not. Just thought i would share the news.

I know some lads who just passed out and they went straight to sailsbury to do a CQB course, combined services i think. Anyway it was on the new CQB methods, long wall, short wall method. Not sure if it was just a trial because he mentioned they were being used because they were straight out.
