Raleigh Kit List Woes!!

hi, i'm currently putting together my kit for Raleigh, but I am stuck on certain items.

swim-wear . it says no football shorts, but can i still take swiming shorts, or do they have to be speedos?

socks - it does not mention socks on the list!

1x1 ltr water bottle - does this have to be a special camping style one, or will an old bicycle one do?

You can wear swimming shorts if they are proper swimming shorts and not too colourful.

You get supplied pusser socks so don't worry about taking any with you.

The water bottle can be anything as long as it doesn't leak.

Some other things to take are Brasso, vanish bar/bottle, hand washing brush and cotton wool. You can get them there but it's expensive!

It also says you need to take a tea towel and a spray bottle (for ironing) but you will never use them so dont bother taking them.
