When Harry joined the Army then he should take the same risks as his men, if it is good enough for every one else's family to the risk why should he be any different Royalty or not. If they don't want to take the that risk then why allow him in the Army. Even the thickos we have running the MoD must have known that this would crop up some time or other so why wait until it does to do some thing. These conflicts have been going on for years now so if Harry wanted to join the forces then why not put him in the Navy or airforce which are fairly safe.

As I mentioned earlier the unbelievable prats at the MOD suggested that he was media trailed to record his derring-do.
A target for him and all of his men. Under those conditions if I was under his command I would be singularly dischuffed. Thank God he is not there and may they all return safe.

Got a major bollicking from No.1 son who is a fed up graduate
civil servant with a well known Govt org. He is totally disenchanted
and underwhelmed by the lack of good leadership and management.

He pointed out that it was not the MOD's idea to trail any so-called
derring do but a Govt spin doctor's.

Fortunately No.1 does not work in the dept Head Shed in London
but he reads a vast amount of departmental nonsense.

I stand corrected.

Frankly, the Royal Family owe us one after that shamefull episode involving Prince Ted.
I don`t really care where they send the prat. He and his older brother would`ve been best served joining the Corps.

Harry,

Edward is a complete waste of space and totally gutless.
Saw him last year at an official function with several gongs
and could not believe it.
He will regret to his dying day that he did not complete his
CCse. He should as other YOs' have done won his beret
and then resigned. An insignificant number of YOs' have
done this under special circumstances.
What annoyed me was the claim that he was suffering from
influenza over the Christmas period and could not return on
expiry of leave to CTCRM. At the same time he was photographed
in the national press hacking round Windsor great park on his horse.
Finally the CGRM should not have asked him to stay and made a
special point of visiting him. Sadly I suspect that the CG believed
that having this 'useless article of a Royal' might benefit the Corps
in some way or other.
Edward's service is merely reduced to obloquy.

He thinned out of CTC on Friday arvo "to reconsider my future in the Corps..." and the next three months saw every man and his dog whacking in chits for weekend leave for the same reason :P
And obviously, he`s not an efeminate bisexual, despite what you may have heard

Harry,

And what did the female CPO tell those enquiring where to find
Prince Andrew when he was on shore leave ? It certainly was
not a golf course ! But at least he did his job down south
so I will dispense with odd proclivities.
Talking of down south I had served some 22 years earlier with
Tom Seccombe and Julian Thompson. I sent the latter a good
will letter and in the heat of battle I received a reply. Now that
is something worthy of great admiration. There must have been
many more important things on his mind yet he took time out.
That shows Royal is a true family.
Yours aye,

Chas,
when Prince Bullshit first joined Invincible, he bounds into the wardroom where Admiral of the Fleet, The Lord Hill-Norton was reading his Torygraph over tea and stickies. :P
"Hi, I`m HRH The Prince Andrew by the way, but you can call me Andy"

Me Lord Hill-Norton looked over the top of his horn rimmed half moons with disdain,
"And I`m Admiral of the Fleet, The Lord Hill-Norton and you can call me Sir!"

What did Jules say to you? Last time I spoke to him he told me to stop dripping! :P Like that was going to happen  That was when he was still MGRM  Shame he never made the top slot.
