BBC1's 'The Paras'

Post by gunner75 »

Iv just finished watching it ,yet again ( I know - sad) and im of the opinion that the recruits were of a better calibre than todays 'yoof' or am i being far far too harsh? They seem bit more articulate and more with the team role sense of things than what I experienced - not so much in 4 Para but def in RAF Regt. Have things changed so much in younger people that even Iv now noticed or have I officially become a dinosaur? and that platoon sgt cracks me up every time with his one liners ' dont get beat by a JOCK - a F*CKING JOCK!!!! WE BUILT A WALL TO KEEP THOSE B*STARDS OUT!!' interesting to note one of the training cpls story was to unfold in Mcnabs latest jackonory.
