Just got back off a 2 week holiday and got hold of a paper. I was very sad to hear about the passing of Harry Patch and Henry Allingham within the space of a week of each other.

I read 'The Last Fighting Tommy' all about Mr Patch and only hope that people respect his request for a quite service.

very very sad news to come home to. A fantastic piece of British history has been lost.

R.I.P.
