if you are joining para you need to be comfortable with 1.5 miles in 9 minutes 30 seconds. you also need to work on push ups and sit ups as these are also part of the pfa. 10 minutes 35 is a good starting point though :)

the army is still active in recruitment, intake varies dependant on what you are joining.

i know in regulars you have to do 11 minutes at 30 yrs old, and every 5 years more you get 30 seconds extra, i believe it is the same for TA.
