Languages

Morning Gents, I am seriously considering taking up a language to learn from a basic to fluent standard. I have one of many options, which include a basic understanding of French, German, Arabic (standard), Pashto and Russian. My reason for wanting to pursue learning another language is to better my...

Rm's going sas?

Just wondering that if a rm decides to go sas because they don't want to dive would they be made to go into boat troop because of their previous exp? Or do they generally give you a choice?

Re: Medical Next Up!...but worried

Hey buddy. I know its extremely difficult dealing with phobias. I used to be literally terrified of snakes and then I went travelling across asia. I saw so many different types of snakes and eventually towards the end of the trip I saw a snake and just thought "ah wow snake..." and now im ...

Camping in the Brecon Beacons (Pen-Y-Fan)

Hi guys, just trying to get familiar with the terrain of the BB in the coming months. Planning a couple of weeks down there in early Jan, just wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to where I can camp?

Cheers.

Re: Decided to go for it!

Hi mate, couldn't log off without giving a reply to your unanswered post. The more you know the easier it will be. Its pretty simple really. Spend hours sifting through information on the Royal Marines until your head is about to explode, then do some more sifting. You have to really know your stuff...

Re: Royal Marine joining the SAS

Don't know mate, pretty sure someone round here can let you know. Are you currently serving?
I understand that both SAS and SBS do the same selection up to a point and then SBS do continuation selection and training after.
