Its not 9.30 you want to aim for. You have to get 9.18 unless you can dead lift 116kg, which I can't, so if you can then ignore me and just get under 9.30. But seriously I do reckon they would like under 9mins.

Jako your time is totally unrealistic and i am sorry but you must be making a BIG mistake with your distance. You say you only need a small break during your run, 7 seconds i belive, but come on if you can run that distance in 7.57 or what ever it is you shpuldnt need to take a bloody break! I can r...

From what I've heard, they dont allow metal in you. I was told of a story that a guy who was at Sandhurst got to week four and then his doctor told him that he had a metal pin in his ankle, because when he was younger he had some sort of metal brace. As they they took it off one of the pins snapped ...

I know, thats what I'm doing. I've already done the BARB test and I've booked myself onto an insight course. Does anyone know how long the whole process takes from applying to getting into Catterick? Basically I'm at the stage where I've sent off my medical forms and am waiting for them to get back ...

I know, I've heard rumours about that, but the thing is, there is no point in me joing another regiment as a soldier just so i can join as a Para if I pass the AOSB later on, because its so hard to get in as an officer anyway, so there is no guarantee of me getting into the Paras as an officer, so I...

Thanks alot guys, I knew the Paras were very competitive but I had just heard rumors that you couldnt rejoin your regiment if you gained a commission. My first worry has to be getting through recruit training, cause I'm sure that will be bloody hard in itself!!!

Regarding the test at AOSB, it is very tight on time and when i did it i didnt finish any of the parts completely. It didnt matter and i still passed but you have to work so fast. The questions are not very hard but there are alot of them. Good luck.
