The Lonesome Commander
by Martin Mahle
Available as a Hardcover, Kindle eBook or 2017 Edition with Coloured Maps.
After the Falklands War of 1982 there have been given numerous awards to people on the British side.
In particular the senior officers of the British armed forces were honoured with high-ranking medals and titles.
Only one man remained completely ignored: Brigadier Sir Mathew John Anthony Wilson, OBE, MC.
Why the one-star general, who was honoured for his Northern Ireland tours with the OBE and the MC in the 1970s, was denied any awards for his time as commander of the 5th Infantry Brigade in the Falklands War, will be clarified in this book.
Briliant "An outstanding book!!! I would buy it again. The only one that covers Wilson. As well good background information on the Falklands War and the Falklands."
