Trying to find my father's military records.

Hi all.
I'm trying to find my father's military records.
I have his number, rank and unit (royal dragoons).
He died in Germany in 1967 aged 32 (KIA).
Does anyone know who I can contact for more info please.
Also, family rumours suggest he was in the special service, if so would this hinder me.
