Survival/Escape and Evasion

Hi All,
I’m writing a fictional novel and I want to include some scenes involving a character undergoing the survival training phase of Selection, (particularly the escape part before capture and TQ).
Can anyone help me with a few questions, such as what kit you carry, what kind of food rations (if any?) you’re given, and what sort of number of you would work together in? (Or are you totally on your own?)
I’d also be interested to know if there is an emergency protocol eg. if someone were to have an accident out on the hills on their own? Do they have an emergency GPS tracker on them?
