Hi guys. :D Now, say you wanted to join the royal navy as a helicopter aircrewman, and you somewhere along the line failed some exercise or something in training, could you then try to re-apply as a different type of officer? (say Logistics officer)...

Or have you only got one shot when applying for the Navy?

Thanks chaps! :P

Im not to sure but I assume you would be able to. The Royal Marines are linked to the Royal Navy and if you fail training and you drop out you are able to come back. If you want to be sure you could always contact your AFCO?

IIRC at the moment you cannot apply for direct entry Aircrewman in the RN, you have to be either a Royal Marine passed for Junior Command Course or from the RN already qualified in another branch. This may change.

You can however apply for direct entry ACM with the RAF.

It depends on how badly you failed. When you get the order of the boot, it would be easy to ask then what your chances would be in applying again.
