Path to Peace painting

Post by Poppyartuk »

Good afternoon!

My name is Kirsty and I am an artist from Sussex who paints canvases of servicemen and poppies. Each poppy is painted with my own fingerprints to represent the individual mark each Serviceman and woman makes on history. I will try to post some of my art here if allowed!

My grandmother used to work alongside Sir Archibald Mcindoe nursing the burned Airmen in ww2, and she inspired me to create my art as she told me we should never forget the sacrifices made. I paint to help people stop and think about our military both past and present.

I am also currently working on a very special painting where I am seeking help from members of the armed forces to complete. I'll also post details of how you can contribute to it ASAP!

Thank you for reading and I look forward to contributing to the forum!

Best regards

Kirsty x
