Unmanned desert island campaign

Post by m18611136959 »

The Unmanned Desert Island Campaign on August 15, 1943. Under the cover of hundreds of warships, 35,000 troops of the U.S. and Canadian forces landed on the Japanese-occupied island of Kisca. In the dense fog, as soon as the U.S. troops landed, fierce gun battles broke out, resulting in hundreds of casualties among the U.S. forces. and the U.S. forces landed only after the fog dispersed. Now, the Japanese troops have already retreated. There are only two dogs left by the Japanese army and a plague patient quarantine sign on the island. This Japanese prank upset the US military and eventually led to a large number of US troops being quarantined. In this battle, all the American soldiers killed and wounded were injured by their own people, and none of them died in the hands of the Japanese. American historians ironically said, "This is the largest, most effective, practical exercise." This is a laughing stock.
