It has been said that "liberal" and "military" are contradictions in terms. I'm not sure.

Can you be liberal - truly liberal - and still commit yourself to military service? Or does it somehow entail a conservative worldview?

I always look upon the political parties as choice between a bunch of crooks and a bunch of thieves and I am never sure just what title to hang on each party
