They didn't check my teeth when I went although I believe they do at Phase 1?
Just go to your dentist and get it sorted.

that depends on how bad they are, if your having your dinner through a straw you might have problems, but if its something that can be solved i think they will help you through it, after all there is a whole dental corps, someones got to give them something to do!

by the way at the ADSC medical they very breifly take a look in your mouth so watch out for that.

ok right thanks for info and heads up

as for the condition and extent of them they are black(bad i know) very thin and badly broken enamel. bits of tooth that have broken right to the gum and there is just the outer edge of the tooth left and the roots have gone black(bad i know) but on the upside i havent had pain with my teeth for some time(2 years if not more) and i dont get any abbses or anything to that. so they may send me home or they may pass me and they may have to be sorted out at a later date?- i have just foned my doctor about what i could do as i have another problem which is going to be sorted soon.
i also asked if there was anything i could do eg goto a dental hospital and have them all taken out and just have false teeth( i know 17 with false teeth ) but at least they will look better than the ones i have now.

but i mean they dont cause me any pain at all... when mountain biking in winter! to running and they just dont cause any pain and if it dosent cause me pain in anyway would they pass me and give the dentist's they have a job to do? eg fixing my gob? :D

i have also just asked the afco about this and i am also waiting a response (let you know what happens as i have my application to make tomorow with them!! cant wait to start doing training and final get in!

They should've checked your teeth, they checked mine. If you can't chew food that's obviously going to be a problem and people get deferred for a lot less. Why would the army have dental care if this wasn't an issue.

If they did it was very quick. I did have to say 'aah' at one point but I figured they were checking for something else.

I was just thinking you don't want to give this guy false hope. By the sounds of it his teeth are pretty bad and we all know how critical the armed forces are when it comes to medicals.

well im hoping il get in on the terms i never have any problems with them! even when mountain biking in snowy and very cold condition's for hours on a bike ride.. eating ice creams to eating dime bars and never get any abbses's or anything and the last time i had pain is when two were nocked out which is why they are the way they are... think its called the apple core affect... so if they ask or say anything on my medical would they let it pass?
nope no pain and havent for years, never have any trouble with abscess's or anything like that.. honestly the only bad side is the looks!

Hopefully the selection centre pass you but they may want you to see a specialist to decide whether you're healthy enough to serve. Good luck.

oh thank you!!! well im going to have a word when im at the afco tomorow(B.A.R.B) and my first interview!! :D

(secretly i really cant wait!!) im so looking forward to it! but what il do is ask to have a quiet word with him. and see what he say's becuase what i really dont want to happen is to wait until adsc and then get deffered home for months on end...(if the army cant help) it means il have to find a dental hospital that can do it as i have asked at various dental hospital's and the shortest time a hospital could do was 6month :o so if he says yeah im sure you'll be fine or whatever then at least i wont have to pay for it as it may cost a fair ammount... but either way my run times are good 10mins and under! and well my heaves arent too good now... 15-17 before im dead and about 70+ situps in under 2 mins and 20ish push ups before im nackered.

Thanks! for all your help! -if i do pass everything and get in il thank you in person! to everyone who has helped!
Rob :D :D

15-17 pull ups is good as long as you're doing them properly. You should be fine on the bodyweight exercises you might need to work on your strength for the dynamic/static lifts if you're bothered about scoring well at selection.
