Dear all,
If there's anyone with an interest in British battlefields in India , just thought I'd let you know my book on the first AngloSikh war has just been published and released. The book is a comprehensive account of the battle but also includes a 50 page battlefield guide and over 50 images of the battlefields and related locations. I've also added hundreds of GPS locations allowing enthusiasts to analzye the battlefields using tools like Google Earth with GPS locations of the positions of the two armies,British graves and graveyards, war memorials etc. Also included are new scale maps of the battlefields drawn with the help of satellite images- previous books tend to use the same not-to-scale fairly basic sketches of the sites. i also managed to dig up some 1870's photographs (not published before) of the battlefield sites - little changed from the time of the war
There's more information on the book website http://www.thefirstanglosikhwar.com
The book is available on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1848 ... d_i=468294
Hope the book is of interest and apologies for taking up your time.
