SBS Career

Post by Flintstone »

Hi, just wondered if there way anyone on here that could clarify the authenticity of this statement. " NCO SBS Operators can only serve in the SBS for 3 years"? Sounds like bullshit to me, but its what iv been told.

As you say its bullshit. Can you imagine how much it costs to train any member of SF be they SBS,SAS or SRR? Continuation trg takes about another yr after passing the course. Most of the guys I knew from SBS and the rest of SF once there stayed there. Perhaps the 3yrs was the suggested length of tour?

They reckon it costs a million to train some one in the SAS so the SBS must be around the same, well after all that training and costs some one will want their money back from all of that

the SAS trooper has to serve 3 years min before he can leave and as timex says most stay. so prehaps the person who told you flintstone that they have to leave in 3 years got confused?
