Worry about getting into the marines first mate.

Look on the web for freediving techniques, although 5m is nothing. If you decide to try any underwater breathholding techniques, don't do it alone

I have to advise that anything like that should be conducted only under proper supervision.
Even those of use that have some good swimming skills know that it takes but a moment for the slightest thing to go wrong, and the water doesn't give second chances to the unlucky or foolish.
Why not ask at your local pool for advice on swimming courses, snorkelling, diving etc.
