That is what would be expected from new recruits starting basic training. By the time you get to your Units they would expect them to be alot quicker. For example:
The Infantry at Regiment is 10:30 but they would expect less than 10.
The RE,RA and Household Cav and I would also expect the RAC also expect 10:30.
I've served in the Infantry and Cavalry so I do know what I'm talking about.

Hope this helps

P.S. as for the other test, you probably never do these again after training. They will be different test.

I would hope that they were hitting 8 or 9 mile 1,1/2 once they finished basic, 10:30 is terrible. :o

I agree, but it's a pass. You will find that hardly no one fails, even some of the old sweats who have let themselfs go abit.

Wow, I'm quite suprised at how easy even the toughest tests appear

Those are just the entrance tests. You're still not a soldier really until you've done your 12 weeks basic, during which the tests get much harder.

Thats for selection! when your on basic you have another 1mile and a half to do. Either to improve or get your time to 9:30min

Plus your warm up is 800m fast pace! plus all the other warm up exercises!

It ain't that easy when you sign on the line!

Cadence Sit-Up is the sit-up bleep test.

These standards are for the initial RMT in Week One. The intermediate and final RMTs get harder but even the final RMT is only testing to the base level.

You only do RMTs at Phase 1; after that it is the BPFA with mile and a half run, 2 mins of sit ups and 2 mins of press ups.
