Regiment Squadrons

Post by rob88 »

Hi all,

I am looking into the RAF Regiment and would like to know what the differences are between the 10 squadrons. Are they all trained in different combat styles, or are they generally the same? I know 2 squadron are parachute capable, but that's about it.

If anyone could help that would be much appreciated.

Hi, all Gnrs are trained to the same initial standard, but a couple of the Sqns require specialist skills. 26 and 27 are aligned to the Defence CBRN Wg for example and 63 Sqn (QCS) also cover ceremonial and public duties.

The rest are HR Field Sqns.

See here for more info http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafregiment/squadrons/
