We are still being sent on ops straight from training, beit the Falklands, Sierra Leone or Iraq we are still getting shot at, so in that respect nothing has changed.

Still only 3 showers for a whole platoon to get washed in 5 minutes after PT...i have to admit, i settled for a "3 Para shower" more than once.

...ok, three times! mmmmm, eau de lynx africa and sweat!

Yeah I know! just the same tough bastards as always, that part hasn't and hopefully will never change.
Only other set of blokes I would be happy with to share a battlefield with are you lads.

It'd also be a good idea to turn up with a decent pair of insoles for your trainers and boots to help reduce the risk of injury and followin in my footsteps

Edit to add:
Paratrooper01 wrote: Moving house is a very good way to describe it. Having said that, moving from depot to battalion is much worse, 2 massive MFO boxes of kit, plus all your uniform and equipment for Brize Norton which has to be kept separate.
How on gods earth do you move that? :o
For some reason I think I need to learn to drive, You can't get that on a train.

All you need to do is take your army grips with you to battalion. Both of your MFO boxes get sent in a truck from Catterick to Colchester and will be in battalion when you arrive....if you survive the jumps course :P
