Royal Marines Officer

Post by THF14 »

Hi all,

I’m 24, turn 25 early next year. I've worked since graduating from university and currently find myself becoming dissatisfied with my current office based job. I've looked around for a new job but given I enjoy an active lifestyle and my high work ethic I feel it’s time for a completely new challenge in the military. Although given my degree and work experience I might be more suited to other jobs in the military and whilst it would be an honour to serve under any capbadge my heart is set on the Royal Marines. I am recovering from an injury at the minute so my fitness is not strong. I’ve read there is only one intake per year so 2015 is probably more realistic.

How would a 25 year old be viewed in terms of my application? Would they think it to old? How would I be viewed at Lympstone, as an oddity seeing as most people join from university?

All advice welcome!

Thanks
