Ping PONG

Post by Ste Preece »

Nice one Doc mate. I once played against the Welsh international team as a junior prior to joining the Corps.

When I joined up the Troop PTI said: you're the ping pong expert aren't you?

To which I proudly said: "yes I am, staff."

His reponse was: "Well forget that sh*t, here's a pair of boxing gloves and you'll need some rubgy boots!! So my ping pong skills went into retirement for a while!!!

However, wait for it......... The foot work was almost the same as boxing, so it was an easy transition for me make.

Would you believe that reflex wise, ping pong is one of the fastest sports in the world. Although a few years ago, they made the ball 2 millimetres bigger to slow it down a little.

All a load of balls really mate, but good sporting fun, none the less!!

And...NO..I don't leap out of the shadows with my stealthy bat to hit the ferking ball...!!

Cheers

I found the older lads coped must better than the younger ones, but age isn't an issue. If you're made of the right stuff you'll do it.
