7th November

Second attempt first effort was when i was a wee 16 year old a whole 8 years ago, the reason i failed and i'm not ashamed to admit it was due to dropping out.
The life style i thought for myself at my age was a huge shock and the fact that been away from home even for just 3 days was to much!!

Now having spent most of my time since then drinking and throwing my life away i have regretted my actions ever since and decided that i have to give it another go or i'll regret it for the rest of my life!!

Anyway Good post FLO, was starting to get sick of going back and forward reading threads. Maybe you could also do one for PRMC results, diarys, etc

Regards

Chris

Flo, i think this will be the better option for me, i can still get core commissioned after 2 or 3 years.

I'd also like to see what it's like see what the the people are like at my PRMC, the people at my POC were a bit 'proper and boarding school type for me. Also i'm only 18, and its not the money thats doing it for me.
Hopefully i won't be regretting this in the future, i doubt it (unless i want a mortage).

So you're RGJ-Rifleman? In your other post you said he was your mate! Very strange....

Jack 1998. I strongly advise you not to join as an other rank but to
take time out and do something really adventurous in the meanwhile.
It will broaden your outlook, increase your maturity and show you new horizons.
However if you were to join as an o/r all eyes would be on you and for
all you know there might not be enough openings for a Corps Commission.
Finally you would have to undertake the Ccse once more with your
batch intake and undertake all the training again at a more advanced
level. If you fail to obtain a commission having passsed all further
steps then and then only consider the o/r route. As a caveat since I
am a member of the older brethren please seek further subject advice.
Finally never forget the o/r Booties are really magnificent and real friends for life.
Treat them well, don't be snottie and they will reciprocate. As a simple
example one fight in Exmouth and one in Exeter. I wanted to play my
part but my oppos threw me out via the head's window.
When asked why they responded your are up for officer selection and
we don't want you to f..k-up. We want you to succeed. (1958) I owe you
Mne. Dare !
RM., Colonial Police & Queen's Regt HSF.
