apprenticeships advice

Post by joethemiff23 »

Hello I am 23 soon and am looking into joining he engineers however feel an apprenticeship will be the best fit for me i have looked it up on the main raf site however there is not a lot of info with regards to how it effects your pay, time to pass out and who is applicable age wise. as i have bills to pay and all that horrific adult stuff i would need to know what the pay was before joining and then would it be a good idea to get some experience in a local garage or something like that to build on my chances of getting in.

thanks for any help guys!

If you took up a job as a civilian do you think that you would be paid the higher rate due to your age or would you have to grin and bear it on a lower wage till you become qualified. The forces would want to train you on there own equipment and all other the stuff you do in the forces, if you are married with a family then you need to give this sort of move a lot of thought.
