CIS OM

Post by Alex Himself »

Hi, just wondering what the CIS OM trade training is like when you get through to Cosford. I am doing this trade, not as popular as the AMM(M) OR (AV).

Money penny, how long did you have to wait to start once you'd passed out?

Cheers

hi there, thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

how much practical do you do, and what types of equipment do you work on.

what are the rooms like there, and is the food any better? do you still have to present your lockers the same and do you have frequent inspections?

Oh, and also, how long from passing out, to Cosford did you have to wait? I've heard different things from people?

Did you stay at Halton for the time in between?

Cheers

Hi, Im a long way in the process of becoming a CIS OM so very interested in exactly what the job is like. Can anyone shed some light please? Im interested in the operating side of CIS OM. Do you do a variety of work that involves thinking and problem solving etc?

Much appreciated!

Hello, similar questions really. I've been to the AFCO to pick up info on the role of CIS OM, and done a fair bit of research but really want to know what the role is actually like, types of training, day to day information etc. If anyone can shed some light that would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks

Matt
