William John Barton

I'm trying to gather information on my fathers WW 2 record. His name was William John Barton, he served in the navy from 1939-52. He was based mostly at Chatham, but went to Devonport (1939?) to help with a refit. After the war he served in the south seas and visited Australia. We know very little about his war years.
