:o Haha no I do understand it isn't going to be easy, thanks for the insight there. It is just the fact that I have been waiting for so long during the application process that to finally have a date is great. In terms of physical fitness what standards are required? Is it the 9.10 on the multi stag...

OASC Feedback?
Hey guys,
Have just had my feedback from OASC, attended in December, unfortunately not the news I was hoping for though.
Does anyone here know how the final grading is worked out and what it represents?
Cheers,
Ben

WSOp Non Commisioned Aircrew
Hi there, does anybody on these forums have any accurate idea as to the situation regarding Airman Aircrew (WSOp) entry? I know that this is the job I really want to do, and am in the application process at the moment, but any info. I can obtain on this would help me get an idea of what I am up agai...

:-? Sorry if I am dragging this subtopic on, but; the lad out who hit Cipriano, he was one of the few there that looked like a soldier. Is this the view of most people on here? Look, I do agree that Kip was a bone idle tw*t, but in my opinion, the way he was nutted was bang out of order. He DOES nee...

Hi I have both books and have to say that although the Chris Ryan book does not contain any specific training programmes it does have LOTS of good advice and tips to help you get fit. After reading it a few times and then starting training I remembered some of the things I had read in the book every...

I think day tripper is referring to the AST you sit at the AFCO. I have heard people recommending getting gcse and/or A Level revision guides, but if you dont have any of these or don't want to buy them maybe you could look at something such as www.bbc.co.uk/revision . I think there are a few links ...

Hi I recently sat the aptitude tests. You should have recieved a booklet from your AFCO with some practise questions in. I don't know if anyone had the same experience as me but I found these to be easier than the actual test you do at the AFCO, so keep practising. The questions I had problems with ...

You can definitely be a firefighter in the RAF. See here: - http://www.rafcareers.com/jobs/job_files/jobfile_firefighter.cfm One of my mates joined the RAF as a firefighter last year and says it is a great job. He is currently based in the UK, tells me that he works shifts: 2 Days and 2 Nights, and ...

Navy Aircrew
Has anybody else seen the advert in some magazines showing a Navy winchman in a disaster area? I was just wondering if people were able to join directly into this trade/branch and if you join or transfer into this at a higher rank as with the RAF's WSOp Air Loadmaster, as I cannot find any info on t...

Army Air Corps Officer?
Is it possible to join the Air Corps as a Pilot (Officer)? I am unsure if this is possible as I have spoken to a friend in the AAC who states that most Pilots are NCOs drawn from the ranks. If it is possible, are there any differences to the way you apply or do you follow the same selection process ...
