Brown and white - looks like a calf. Confuses the hell out of the cattle when he walks it up on Divis Mountain.

Nice dog, E5 - friend of mine has an Akita, it stands nearly a metre tall, is built like a brick sh1t-house and answers to 'Bear'.

I have two Samoyeds, brother and sister - would put up a photo but don't know how to.

Given the need for trained soldiers, if you manage to hack it in 4 Para then it should be easy enough to get into a Reg unit for a tour. Back door but if it works then fine.

But - are you sure you haven't pissed someone off big-time somewhere along the line? Certainly sounds like it.

Jim-UK - your clearence will depend on a few things - did you live outside the 'married patch'? Did you go to school here? Basically did you live in civ areas? Essence thread Para01, good discussion. Ref the 1" elastic band, i see some enterprising scroat on e-bay is selling this, some scrim/hessian and netting as a 'helmet cam kit'. One thing I recall seeing, was about a dozen + safety pins (big ones) pinned inside the Para smock, in case the zip bus...
