Sorry, skipped through this at high speed, the wings are SAS. Pointing up slightly is 22, pointing downward slightly is 23.

Agree with all the other info, but could this Whirlwind photo be Radfan? Or at least the Djebel?

Don't hit me if I'm wrong....

Interesting post....agree with the sentiments expressed. It's been a difficult few years, for a lot of reasons; I am willing to swallow a lot of things, but the one thing that I still get p"ssed about is the Early Release Scheme. All these scumbags back on the streets after good men died and ot...

Just to go back to the topic for a second - in South Armagh the PIRA had various heavy mgs emplaced underground on fixed lines - sort of like a pipe range - pointing in the general approach path to SF bases like Forkhill. If the areas around the bases in Iraq dictate a set approach course then it wo...

Bright bit of adaptive thinking - Phalanx was used by the US Navy against the like of Exocets, and as a general anti-air attack radar-guided weapon. Essence. Don't leave home without one.

According to US sources they have lost approx 50 aircraft since 2003, of which half were lost to 'enemy action'. A fifth helicopter lost this week was civilian...say no more.

Good pics, both of you - Para01 are those Pinzgauers parked on the right of your pic? They look a bit like the old 'half-tonner' Rover, but with a roll cage.

You're right - but the only time you can get 'total commitment' from a politician is when they are committed to rubber cells....

Good thread though GW, cheers.

GW, I can see your point from a tactical survival viewpoint - my objection with the tone of the commentary was the 'revenge of God' message, that implies that 'we are better than you - your life is forfeit'. If I had lost friends among the many US soldiers killed in Iraq, I dare say I would be coldl...

This person isn't from the UKIP by any chance?

This reads like a call-waiting msg at the Samaritans.
