If you're after your wings in the RMR then best not get your hopes up. Getting your wings requires your unit to have parachute ground training equipment and a trained man to teach the required ground synthetics both pre jumps course and pre exercise jump. There is currently no requirements for any m...

Does anybody know when RMR Scotland's holding troop starts up? I've been told the middle of June - just wondering if anybody has a more specific date? You will need to contact RMR Scotland HQ direct for that. Ask to speak to the PSI-PTI (He's the man in charge of recruit training). If there is suff...

I am nearly 30yo, and have previously done PRMC and passed, but didn't join at the time because of various personal circumstances. I would like the best chance of seeing active servi...

skiffle, in the RMR is there a chance to specialise or train with the Fleet protection group? There are plenty of chances to specialise within the RMR. The RMR is now pushing for every reservist to gain a specialisation to aid and strengthen the regular Corps. The following specialisations are avai...

RMR Scotland Recruiting now

Who are you? Are you the type of person that searches for an adrenalin rush, goes running to feel the endorphin rush or goes circuit training in search of the ultimate fitness? Do you strive to push your mental boundaries, have drive to get up and go but nothing to tame it, or need to feel an overw...

Re: Joining RMR

Im thinking about joining RMR Bristol, the Lympstone detatchment. Im attracted to the idea of an elite unit and the pressure and motivation to be the best. However, although I am a running junkie and have completed half marathons and marathons in decent times my main worry is upper body strength an...

If your looking at full time RM and the full 32 weeks or YO batch then mobalisation is different. During full time recruit training you can be mobalised (if the situation deems e.g. uk being invaded) while in recruit training but only after you have done a certain number of weeks (the point were you...
