are there tall SAS soldiers? I heard most of them were smaller than average?

Hi. Is it true the SAS selection pass rate has more than doubled? I read on the paper that last year on the winter course out of 250 candidates only 20 passed and this year on the winter course out of 250 46 passed. Thanks for any replies.
