Look at it like any other job interview, the recruiter will want to be happy that you know what the job is about, and what you will have to do in training etc. Also that you will stick with it. So find out what the Corp do, where they are at location wise, what weapons they use and transport/ships t...

Its up to yourself the process may take a month or so but if you have a medical issue or the recruiters arent happy with your application it could take longer.

I would think you will have plenty of time to get through the process by October, give them a shout in the summer.

The eye test form has to be filled out by the optician, the MO will take it from you. The AFCO will cover the cost of the exam.

There are several serving Police officers in RMR Scotland, you might have a few problems attending drill nights and weekends as a recruit.

The upper age limit can be waved by the OC if he feels you are worth it.

Hope this helps.

Go to the AFCO and get a form to join, they will give you a form for an eyesight test that you get completed and bring back with you when you go in for your medical.

Like Artist says tats are a no no. There was a new regulation that came out last year, thats why they took a photo of it. It would have been reviewed by some officer. But they are a not allowed if they are above the colar or below the cuff end of story I'm afread.

As far as I know this was an improvised device e.g. a PRIG. Its a bit worrying as they have access to comercial explosives and the technology to produce these devices. In the last several months we have had this attack, a big culvert bomb, a UVIED, two CQA's and a mortar. It will only be a matter of...

I think the minimun you can go away for is 3 months, usually 6 but you will need to add in the pre tour training and then the leave at the end as well. A 6 month tour would work out at around 1 year off work.
