Re: Any Advise welcome
First off Tiger, well done on having the guts to come out and say how you feel. That is a good start. The next thing is for you to understand that you are not the only person who feels like this - there are many who have felt, or will feel, the way you do. I don't know your background but what is ve...

Barrel length stops at the end of the handgrip, the torch is mounted on the side rail and has the unfortunate habit of blowing the bulbs when live-firing.....the head -shed wouldn't spend on strobe lcd torches and now the ones they bought are no longer made, so no apare bulbs. Tubes. They are actual...

First off gents, good to be talking with you again after a long time, hope you've all been well. Aye the SLR is old but to be honest compared to the G3 - which I have a lot of respect for - I know what I prefer. Like I said, with 'long arms' it's a case of horses for courses - time has moved on and ...

Well....if it works for you then fine. If, like me, you used what they gave you, then you found the best way of working with it, whatever it was. SLR, LMG, GPMG in my case. M-14 is a good bit of kit - but wasn't it a bit awkward when, having fired off all your own ammo, you remembered that everyone ...

Those being attacked were very lucky. Down to the team involved not knowing how to service their kit. Since then they have used a roadside device with 'add-ons'. They are actively targetting - did they stop? - and waiting their chance. As Barrybudden says, its only a matter of time. Threat levels ar...

Agreed, Harry. He should go, if not now then at an unannounced time in the future. His name went on the line like ours, if you wear the clothes then you should do the job. Dannatt has clearly been told that his Field Marshal's baton could be lost in the post. Now. not wishing the worst on anyone but...

Tab I'll admit that when I read this topic at first I thought it a bit harsh, but after seeing those pictures of the mis-use of the Rothley memorial I am inclined to agree with the comments above. Yellow ribbons on a cenotaph? An gesture recognised as meaning 'bring them home' on a memorial to the d...

This is the best laugh I've read this week....thanks lads. Mostly thanks to you Owen, who doesn't appear to have more than a 50-word English vocabulary and learnt that from the back of a sauce bottle. For God's sake, try reading a few books on the subject or there is this thing called the 'internet'...

Sorry mate the Wehrmacht did this one already - it was called 'Goliath' and was a r/c miniature tank containing a h.e. charge. Worked until the element of surprise wore off. Of course this was before the widespread use of e.c.m. Reading your questions, I may be mistaken but to answer them on open fo...
