Talked to a mate of mine ex south african recce, he said thier march was 11.8 miles in 2 hours with a 84 lb bergen.

I have recently been told by a US National Guard (TA) LRS (long range surveillance) guy, that his platoon can march, with 45lb bergens (min weight) webbing/rifle, for 12 miles in 2 hrs and less. I would surmise that certain military skills might be useful in obtaining a Green Card however so perhaps one's first port of call should still be the recruiting office?? The only legal thing they can do is write you a letter saying you have been to see them and are interested in enlisting but you ...

AFAIK anyone who can get a visa to enter the US can join their armed forces and would be granted citizenship on leaving but that would be time dependent and if you didn't finish your time you'd be sent back to the UK. . I dont think H&K are foreign anymore, I think they are British owned. The MP5K is indeed a beautiful weapon to use! There is a new H&K that is being put forward as a replacement here in the USA for the M4s etc... unfortunatley its still 5.56 but they are looking into 6.5 and 6.8s as replacem...
